I specialize in helping individuals through difficult life transitions or an unforeseen crisis. My areas of expertise include anxiety and mood disorders, bereavement, and trauma. I work extensively with young professionals in their 20's and 30's, graduate/PhD students, sexual assault survivors, and women experiencing fertility or perinatal concerns.
I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The professional title of Licensed Clinical Social Worker means that after earning my master's degree in social work from New York University, I completed over 3000 hours of supervised clinical experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning before passing New York State's advanced-level clinical examination. Beyond my credentials, I have completed post-graduate education in Advanced Clinical Practice (NYU), Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Grief and Loss with the Postpartum Stress Center and Selini Institute, and am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention by The Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at University of Pennsylvania. I have also received certificates in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Biofeedback, and Hypnotherapy.
My professional experience encompasses a variety of clinical settings including Planned Parenthood of NYC, New York University's Counseling & Wellness Services, and Pace University where I directed the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention & Education.
